Sukholit Oleksandr

Ukrainian artist, painter, sculptor, graphic artist, and installation artist. Born in 1960 in the village of Chornotychi, Chernihiv Oblast. He graduated from the Uzhhorod School of Decorative and Applied Arts in 1979 and the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1986. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1988. He works with various techniques and genres of art, creating “graphic sculpture,” bronze and plaster reliefs, sometimes polychromatic. The artist’s works tend toward intellectual and philosophical expression. He regularly participates in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad and holds solo exhibitions. His works are held in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Kyiv National Museum of Russian Art, the State Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine, the N. H. Onatsky, the Kharkiv Art Museum, the Tama Art University Art Museum (Tokyo), and private collections in Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, and Canada.
